Mirchi Movies Limited, the entertainment wing of the Times Group, has recently entered Kollywood with a lot of long term plans. The company functions as an independent production house and focuses on owning motion picture content and marketing, distributing and exploiting the same in India and globally beyond India.
As part of its foray into South India, Mirchi Movies Limited has tied up with Prakash Rajs Duet Movies and Moser Baer India Limited to co-produce its first Tamil feature film, Vellitherai, directed by Viji.
